I really loved this game. It was easy, fun and quick. You only use the stylus and the microphone for this game. With the use of the stylus, you can chop, cut, slice, dice, stir, add, fry, grate ingredients and more. And you can use the microphone to blow at the fans or blow at the water when it's getting too hot. I loved the simplicity of it all.

The problem was the lack of recipes. I finished playing this game in around a few days? After you completed all the recipes you probably won't bother playing them again because it gets really boring after that. The only reason why you would want to make the dish again is to get a high score or earn a gold medal for it. Also the graphics are really colourful and clear, which makes it more interesting to look at. Which makes you seem like you're actually cooking something. Although Cooking Mama may be just multiples of minigames cooked up together, I find this better. Because then I don't have to spend lots of time on one dish.

Another disappointment is that you can't play multi player. Although this has been modified in Cooking Mama 2. But the wireless won't work for me and my cousin for some reason. So that was a bit crappy. I'd suggest you buy Cooking Mama 2 instead if you haven't bought any of the series already. Because Cooking Mama 2 is much more challenging and fun.
