Here are some info on each aspect of a website :

Navigation
Your visitor should be able to find your navigation. Sometimes people put the navigation in their layout images, that's fine, but it's not when the navigation is a picture of a duck or a picture of a lemon. And it IS kind of annoying how people have to scroll through every single picture to find out which picture goes where. If you decide to use your layout image as your navigation, try to make the image have some text so people can find their way. Some lazy people (such as me) don't bother to keep scrolling around your images to see which one is which. Just make your site EASY TO NAVIGATE.

Music
I hate it when people put music on their sites. A music player is okay - as long as it doesn't play as soon as I enter your site. Why is Music annoying? Because many people, I assume, listen to music when they are surfing the web. So if I was listening to Happy Birthday (just an example) - and suddenly your website goes WE WISH YOU A MERRY CHRISTMAS, then what I'd be hearing would be HAPPYWISHYOUAMERRYCHRISTMASBIRTHDAY. And I'm sure that would sound really weird.

Font colours
This is just your general font colour - not your header or title font colour.
Your general font colour is very important. You REALLY REALLY REALLY should NOT use bright colours. Because if you do, your visitors will have a hard time looking at your blogs or content. Then people will have to highlight all your text which is really annoying. You should stick with black or grey. But other dark colours are okay I guess, but black or grey are the easiest to read.

Font Size
Don't make your font so tiny that people cannot see. Or so large that "I ate pie for breakfast" takes up your WHOLE page. Then if you wrote "I ate pie for breakfast, it tasted really good because it was my favorite pie." That would take 3 pages. And no one is going to bother to read it.

Font
You should only use fonts that are default. Like arial, times new roman, verdana, tahoma, etc. The default fonts. If you used fonts that you have downloaded - then not everyone might have it. So on other people's screens it will be different. Unless that person actually has YOUR font. But they probably don't. So just stick with the default, or other people who look at your font will think it's ugly.
