Ever had problems with sleeping? I'm sure a lot of people have. I have created some tips and tricks that'll probably help you
sleep more soundly at night. Obviously different methods work for different people. That's why I've listed different
methods here. If this doesn't work for you, then I'm sorry. Try sleeping pills.
Method 1 : Relaxing and breathing
Relax. Find a position that is the most comfortable to you. Make sure you're not tense. Once you're relaxed,
take a deep breath. In and out. Imagine yourself sleeping. Picture an image of yourself sleeping on your bed,
taking deep breaths.
Method 2 : Happy Place
This method also includes relaxing. Find a comforatable position. Relax. Imagine something happy. May it be
dancing, ice skating, disneyland, ice cream, friends, etc. Also take deep breaths in and out.
Method 3 : Counting
Count to 1000. Sometimes boring things help people fall asleep. You can also count red underwear if you want. Whatever
that'll make you really bored. This doesn't really work for me. Because when I try to concentrate on something,
I can't sleep.
Method 4 : Reading
Read a book. A boring book preferably. If it's too interesting then you'll probably get so hooked that you'll
forget that you have to sleep. Sometimes when you read, you get really sleepy. And eventually when you get super
sleepy, just put down your book, switch off the lights, close your eyes and catch up with your z's.
Method 5 : Watching TV
Watching TV is same as reading. It'll make you sleepy. Everytime I watch TV, I fall asleep on the couch. This
method will probably work better if you've got a TV near your bed. So unless you don't mind sleeping on the couch
I wouldn't recommend you do this.
Method 6 : Static
This method also requires a TV. Try switching on a channel that has static. The static sound usually helps people
fall asleep because of the buzzing. But if you're the kind of person that can't sleep through noise, then I wouldn't
recommend it. Or just any sound like that would be okay. Like once when I couldn't sleep, my sister was blow drying
her hair in the other room. The blow drying noise made me fall right to sleep.
Method 7 : Music
Again, this is if you an fall sleep through sound. Listen to very calming music. Maybe classical? Because when I listen
to classical music I usually will nod off. Because it's boring (no offense to classical lovers). I wouldn't suggest
listening to some super loud music. Calming is the best. But loud music actually works for some people. So if this is
the thing for you, then go for it. I also get sleepy listening to rock.
Method 8 : Sound Effects
Ever seen those CDs and soundtracks which have effects like waterfalls, forests, birds chirping, etc.? Well any
calming sound effects will help you sleep. Only if you can sleep through sound as I said before.
Method 9 : Tap your forehead
Well I watched this documentary once. It says that tapping your forehead makes you sleepy. So get on with the tapping.
Don't tap too hard, I won't be responsible if you break your skull.
Method 10 : Drinking Coffee
I know I know. You probably think this is a weird method. But believe it or not, some people actually get sleepy drinking
coffee. So if you're one of them, then I suggest you drink some coffee.
Method 11 : Drinking Warm Milk
Warm milk is proven to make you sleepy. If you REALLY really really really cannot sleep. Then go get yourself some milk,
and heat it up. Or you could just use baby powder and mix with hot water. Choose your preference.
